Robi launches 1st VoLTE service in Bangladesh

Mobile phone operator, Robi launched Voice over LTE (VoLTE) service in the country as the first operator which would enable the users to enjoy high definition voice calls.

Robi introduced voice over long term evolution (VoLTE) technology to provide the 4G users of the telecom operator with enhanced audio, better data usage, and improved service.

Only, Robi and Airtel customers in Dhaka and Chattogram divisions will get this service, as more than 5,000 sites have been activated with VoLTE service. In the future, the service will be expanded across the country.

Not only does the VoLTE provide high-quality voice services, but it also significantly enhances an operator’s ability to carry voice calls over its network.

Interested Robi or Airtel customers can enjoy the VoLTE service by dialing *86583#. Officials from Robi and Airtel will, later on, reach out to the interested users to instruct them into enjoying the service if they are eligible.
